Last Friday night

So last Friday I headed into town for a few drinks and a meal. Well the few drinks actually turned into me being out all night and having a horrendous hangover on Saturday. I thought I'd show you what I wore. Sorry for the funny faces. I went curly wurly with my hair and tried to keep my make up light as I really didn't have much intention of going out.

My top is river island and skirt is topshop. I hope you like my outfit.

Where have I been.

Hello everyone.

It feels like an age ago I last blogged so I thought I'd tell you where I've been....WORKING. The last 2 weeks I was on holiday cover and doing my own job as well I was working 7am till 8pm. Long long days. I had no time to do my usually lunch time blog surf either so I feel so behind on times. Always a few weeks ago I was involved in a car crash where my beloved BMW X5 was written off. Luckily everyone was ok. However I really hurt my arm resulting in my not being able to move it. I have a scar on it now but so relieved I walked away.

Hopefully now my job will settle back down and I'll have chance to get back to blogging. I have a October favourites to come. I know it's really late!

I'm looking forward to catching up on all you're posts in the next week.

I found this photo on We heart it on Saturday and it really reminds me of me and my little sister, Emily. Hope you like it.

NOTD OPI If you moust you moust

This is by far my favourite from the Minnie Mouse collection my Mum got me for my birthday. I've wore it so much over the passed month it is my new favourite go to pink. It is so bubblegum and girly.

As my base coat I have nail envy and as a too coat my beloved Essie Let it shine.

What is your favourite pink?

I Heart It

Recently I've been loving looking through photos on We Heart It. I found this one and I think it's totally me. I wanted to share it with you.

I think everyone should always wear your invisible crown. If you have ever seen the movie A little princess you will know that every girl is a princess. I also love this models hair.

Do you have any quotes or pictures that inspire you?

She said beauty October

I love getting a beauty box but this month was such a let down. I came extremely close to cancelling next months but thought I'd give it till December.

Here's what I got.

Cellnique advanced bio renewal masque, B.liv off with those heads, Herbacin wuta kamillie hand cream, Biao beauty rejuvenating night cream, Palmer's coco butter and a packet of Myvitamins.

The only thing I can really tell you I am happy to see is the hand cream. The rest I'll try but I can't say I'm overjoyed. I really don't like the Coco butter it literately took me a few weeks to get rid of the bottle I bought I might give that away.

When I first received my box the B.liv off with those heads had leaked all over. I had to clean up all the other packaging as it was all sticky. I email SSB about this and they sent me another B.liv sample out. Their customer service is fantastic.

Did you get a she said beauty box? What did you think of this months?

Essie Cute as a button

I got this while on holiday this summer and it was my first Essie polish. I think this is my all time favourite. That is a very big statement to make as I'm a die hard OPI fan. I pick this up as I had left half of my holiday polish's on my bedside table at home. After the utter panic of thinking I had lost them all I decided to buy some more. I love everything about this polish, the bottle, the formula  the colour, the stay power and the brush. I've heard a few people on blogs have said how the formula of Essie polishes have changed. This is the new one as I have Essie Mint candy apple and it is no where near as good as this one.

I had this on my nails for a whole 7 days and it didn't chip at all. I was so impressed. I used nail envy as a base and Essie shine on as a top coat.

This was just after application.

This was after 4 days application. I really think it is the best for long lasting.

Have you used Essie before? What do you think?

Moroccan Oil Treatment

If you asked me this time last year that my favourite hair treatment would be an oil I would probably of laughed at you and said no way. I really didn't like any idea of an oil at all. However this is amazing. My hair was in good condition when I started to use it but it is like red carpet hair now. Well maybe that's an exaggeration. But my hair really does feel so soft and smooth.

When I bought this all those weeks ago I hadn't actually heard that much about it. My hairdresser told me it was good and you only need a tiny bit to work. That was about as much as I knew. I ordered the 25 ml bottle from look fantastic and I thought it was pretty expensive for hair care. At £12.85 it is worth every single 1285p. When it arrive it really was tiny though. I'm not sure what I was expecting for 25 ml but the box seemed really little. I love the colour and the glass bottle it sits really nice with my other products.

Just a little taller than a Mac Lipstick. I apply this to damp hair after I've come out the shower I towel dry my hair and use my tangle tease and brush through.

I use a tiny bit. It's really all you need to make your hair smooth. I noticed on the first application how much it made my hair silky soft. I wash my hair every other day. I used to use the oil every other day too however I've found the best way is using it every other hair wash. So every 4 days.

Have you tried this?

Night out on the town

On Friday night I headed up to Newcastle for a few drinks. I had pretty much thought all week about what to wear and thanks to Catrine at Unnakednails I decided on this outfit.

Sorry for the concentration in my face here.

I wore my trusty M&S shoes again. When I know I am going to be doing a lot of walking on a night out these are my shoes of choice. I actually have shorts on but I guess you can tell as i have my bag covering them.

And here's my face. I have OPI my private jet on you can see my swatch here. My lips I had a mixture on of my Revlon just bitten in Crush Brguin and Mac Ladybug on top.

Hope you had a good weekend too. Roll on the next one as I can feel this is going to be a long week at work.

Sunday 7 October 2012

Feel good Fridays

On Friday I finished work like normal and had full intentions on going to M&S to get some food in for the weekend but Boots literally forced me into their shop I am holding them 100% reasonable for these goodies.

When I pulled up at M&S I saw 3 for 2 in massive gold and red letters and thought well it wouldn't hurt to have a look. Well it did.

The Garnier moisturiser is actually a repurchase. I used this while on holiday and my family ended up loving it too so it was all gone by the end of the holiday. It doesn't exactly last 7 days but it does make your skin feel silky smooth.

Stay Matte Rimmel London. I picked this up in shade Silky beige. I've never really used any of Rimmels make up. I bought this instead of buying Macs mineral finish. Hopefully it'll do the job just as well.

Collection 2000 concealer. Everyone in the blogging world raves about this. I don't actually need a new concealer but I really wanted to try it. I got this in medium.

L'oreal Super Liner in Black crystal. I haven't used a liquid liner in years and a few weekends ago when I was getting ready to go out I got an urge to put liner on my lids and my Mac gel liner has dried up.

Revlon Just Bitten in Crush Brguin. I actually wanted the L'oreal lippy that Cheryl Cole wore on last weeks X Factor but of course it was sold out. This was a pretty similar shade.

I picked up 2 Real Techniques brushes. I got the Setting brush (pink one) for my highlighter and the lash-brow groomer as this morning when I was getting ready I really couldn't of done with one.

Have you used any of these products before?

Morning ladies,

This is just a quick post to remind you that in the UK InStyle goes on sale today and they have Benefit freebies!!

Instyle mag November 2012 Benefit Freebies

Yes that's right! Benefit!! I love Benefit so much and I am a big fan of the Sun beam it featured in my September favourites that you can see here

I am 100% going to pick up the Cha cha tint I've been dying to try it but at £24.50 a pop it's not cheap and if I don't like it I've kinda wasted £25. However InStyle cost's £3.80 so I'll be trying that one for sure.

Will you be picking any up?

September favourites

Wow this year is flashing by so fast. I'm really looking forward to October, it's my little sisters birthday. I can't wait for a night out. (Hint hint Emily!!)

Here is what I have been loving this month.

Stippling brush - This is the life saver of brushes. I have been using this to buff my Mac sculpt cream in.

Benefit Sun beam -  Along with my Mac sculpt I have been using this to highlight my cheek bone and arch of my eye. I wasn't sure about this when I first got it but I have been using it everyday recently.

Besties dry shampoo - Does this need an introduction? I work full time and lets face it I do not have time wash my hair everyday. It takes 1 and half hours to wash and dry my hair so by doing it every other day I am saving hours of my life.

Morrocon Oil - This is amazing I have nothing but fabulous things to say about this oil. It makes my hair feel so soft and just luxurious. You only need a little amount.

Naked 2 - I got this as a gift in July which I was so grateful for and this has been to my go to eye make up this month. I really feel like this is the only thing I need to create a smoky eye or an everyday look.

Have you tired any of my favourites? What have you been loving this month?

Birthday OPI's

Saturday was my 22nd birthday I had a lovely day. I went out for lunch with my sister and a friend and we went into town to have a few drinks after. I got some lovely presents and want to show you the OPI polishes I got. Altogether I got 8.

All the colours as you can see are pink. I think my family know me a little too well.

I got the Minnie mouse collection which I was so happy about. I love all the colours and painted my nails 'I'm all ears' straight away. From L-R I'm all ears, Colour of Minnie, If you moust you moust and Nothing mouse about it.

L-R Nail Envy, And this little piggy, Miami beats and Pedal fast Suzi.

It's safe to say that I won't be needing to buy any more polish for a while and expect a few NOTD. So thank you so much to my family for spoiling me!

Which one would you like to see first?

Date night

Today is my birthday I'm turning 22. I know that this isn't old at all but it only feels like a few weeks ago I turned 21. I'm going out for lunch and dinner today so I'll most likely be 22 stone by the end of the weekend but that's what birthdays are all about.

Anyway onto the title of the post. Date night. I had a first date on Thursday and I didn't really know what to wear (turns out I got it wrong) I was told we were going to Newcastle but I actually ended up going ice skating before going for dinner. I put on my twitter that I wanted to go. This was really sweet but I wore heels. I must be the only girl to ever do this. He was prepared with socks, gloves and a scarf for me which was really cute. I should probably also say that I can not ice skate to save my life. It seemed my legs weren't doing what my brain was telling them.

Here's what I wore.

Sorry for the phone in the mirror I had no one else to take my picture so the spare room mirror had to do.

At this point I would like to state that if any of you are going ice skating don't wear heels.

After reading Kayleigh's (Couture Girl) post on Mac Girl about Town lipstick I decided that was what I would go for. You can see my swatch here

I had a really good night after I got my glass of wine to forget about my shocking performance on the ice. Hope you have a good weekend.

How to Relax

I'm not going to lie but the last few weeks I've been feeling really down. My job seems to be going from bad to worse. Nothing I do seems to make it better. My personal relationships seem to be falling apart. Since starting my blog I find that this is away I can escape it all. After a tough day at work. (Yes yesterday was one) I like to come home and relax.

First of all I like to start by running a bath. I like my baths steaming hot and after a day in a freezing cold office these warm me up.

While I am in the bath I like to put some music on. Last night's choice was The Script as mine came through the post yesterday. I also like to read a magazine. This seems to be my only time to ever actual read these days. So it was nice to just chill out.

What bubble bath I use in the bath really depends on what mood I'm in. For chilling out I like to use Nspa Jojoba and white vanilla foaming bath milk. I picked this up a few weeks ago in Asda. This smells lovely and leaves a lovely scent on your skin. I also like to apply a face mask. Last night I used Elemis herbal lavender repair mask. It's a clay mask it doesn't really have the nicest smell but it does leave my skin really soft.

Once I've turned into a mermaid. (This is the term my Mum used to use once I had gone wrinklely in the bath) I like to put my PJs get wrapped in my dressing gown and make myself a hot chocolate. This sums up my perfect evening in.

Now I feel all relaxed I head to bed for an early night. How do you like to relax?

Caribbean Adventures

I have mention on my Aruba Aloe lotion and my Mac Girl about Town post that I have been to two Island in the Caribbean and Jen form Its a Blondes Life!  said she would would like to see some pictures of my trip.

I have been to the Caribbean twice and I honestly never thought I'd be able to go once in my life so I do feel extremely privlaged. Each time I have been has been on a cruise. First time was in February 2011 and second time was in March this year. I was so excited when my parents told me that they had booked it for us. They told me and my sister way back in March 2010 that we were going. I honestly couldn't wait however I felt like a cruise was for 'old people'. My parents reassured me and said that it wasn't but I still felt like there would be me and my sister and the rest of the ship will be all OAPs. OOOOOHHHH just how wrong I was. Each cruise I have been on we have met so many people our age. The first cruise there was a group of 5 guys my age on a lads holiday. I can honestly say they are the best holidays and I have ever been on and I couldn't recommend them enough. I have only ever been on a P&O ship called Ventura and it is massive.

The 9 islands I have been too are, Barbados, Grand Truk, Antigua, St Lucia, Aruba, St Marten, Jamaica, Dominica and Bonaire. If I was going to tell you about each Island this post would be a book. My favourite Islands are Barbados, Aruba and St Marten.

Here are some pictures of my familys adventures in 2012.

Quick drink before we board the ship in Barbados. (This is me)

Bonaire is a small island which is very popular for snorkelers. How blue is the sea?

Dad me and my Mum in Arbua. Aruba is amazing for shopping and has white sandy beaches.

Waiting for the lift. The ship has so many different places to eat and drink.

Jamaica is famous for the Dunns river falls which we did in 2011. This is at the dock how big is the ship?

Grand Turk is a tiny island you can see right across it from the top deck of the ship however it has amazing pool party there call Margaritaville which is amazing it's ful of Americans having an amazing time. I really enjoyed this island as it was a beach day. The drink I am holding was a Pina colada who doesn't love a good cocktail in the sun?

You can see right across this island see.....Grand Turk.

The White room on board the Ventura.

St Marten. The shopping island. This has the best of both worlds there are two sides of the island the French side and the Dutch. The Dutch has the shops the beaches and the bars!!

Antigua has 365 beaches one for every day of the year. On this beach I saw a lady who goes to my gym. It really is a small world.

Dominica is a very green island. The first picture is their countries flag and the second is me and my beautiful family in front of mama waterfall.

St Lucia. These are the Pitons they are amazing to see. (Can you believe I took this picture with my iphone?)

Barbados is amazing the only music I heard play on the island is Rihanna.

Barbados, my Dad and sister and Terry the Turtle.

On the last night in Barbados the ship docks over night. Me, my sister and some friends we met went to Harbour lights. It is a party on the beach. Imagine your local night club but open air, all you can drink for $20 and instead of a dance floor you have sand. I heard every Rihanna song that night that she had ever made. There were so many different nationality's there. It is a fantastic night out.

I truly believe the people in the Caribbean are the happiest people in the world. They don't have any benefits out there so if you don't work there will be no money. People learn to live off the land and help each other out. I think maybe in a past life I was from there as I felt right at home!

So there you have it. I had the best time ever on both holidays and I can't thank my parents enough for taking me and my sister.

Sunday Shopping

Over the weekend I was looking after Alfie and on Sunday I decided to take him on shopping trip. He is allowed in most shops as long as I carry him. Luckily for me he decided to not walk at all so I ended up carrying him all around town. My arm was killing me by the time I got home. So here are the beauty products I picked up.

Here's what I got. From The body Shop. Lightening Touch, Warming Mineral mask, All in one BB cream and Rainforest Shine shampoo and conditioner. From Superdrug I picked up Bastiste dry shampoo and two MUA 3 in 1 extreme contour liner in Brown and Gun Metal.

The body shop have 3 for 2 on all skincare and make up so I got the warming mineral mask for free. I actually only went in for the lightening touch as I suffer form dark circles and I've heard that this is a dupe of the YSL Touche Eclat and at only £14 compared to £25 for the touche eclat I thought I'd give this ago. I got the shade 01. The BB cream is something I haven't really heard of. But it goes on as a white cream and the adapts to your skin tone. I thought for those more natural days this would be perfect. It was £12 which I thought wasn't too bad. I got this in the shade 02. The mask was my freebie. Recently I have has really bumpy skin so I am willing to give anything ago. The shampoo and conditioner was another freebie as I signed up to their Love Your Body reward card.

Alfie hated Superdrug as I spent ages swatching almost everything. I picked up the Batistes as it was on offer for £1.95. I like this one as it has the hint of colour in and doesn't leave my hair with white streaks. I picked up the MUA extreme contour's to try and use on my eye lids to create a smoky eye. I might just had a play around and see how I can actually make them work best.

They look just like a pencil and you just twist the top to get the product. They were a bargain price of £1.50. You can't go wrong.

The top is gun metal and the bottom is brown. They are really creamy so I think they may be good for smudging. I really wanted black but it was sold out so I will be keeping a look out for it on my next trip.

Also on Monday night I had a little trip to the Metro centre after work. I got 3 little treats for myself.

For the life of my I couldn't get the brushes to stand up and I realise that this photo is awful, sorry about that. So I got the Real Techniques Stippling brush and blush brush. I  love the stippling brush I have been using it everyday I have to say I really don't like the blush brush. I think it's naff and I feel like I hardly get any product on my cheek. They were on offer for buy one get one half price in boots.

The MUA pallet I picked up was Undressed as I've heard it's a dupe of Naked. To be honest Undressed is a better way of saying naked if you ask me. Also it was £4 compared for £36 that naked costs. I'm really looking forward to using this as I've had it almost a week and still haven't tried it.

I am really happy with my purchases minus the blush brush. Here is a picture of Alfie after been carried all over town he still came home and had a nap. Typical man. Have you used any of these products what do you think?
